SAVAVET Companion Animal Business concluded its second annual Dermatology Summit with phenomenal success. The event kicked off in Pune on July 6 in collaboration with the Pet Doctors Association of Pune(PDAP), continued in Hyderabad on July 7 with Pet Practitioners Association of Telangana (PPAT), and wrapped up in Kolkata on July 13.

The event brought together dermatology subject experts from India and globally and helped disseminate knowledge that could significantly impact diagnosis, management and treatment for various skin conditions in small animals. Dr. Thierry Olivry, Head – R&D, Nextmune from Latvia, Dr. Nellie Choi from Australia, Dr. K G Umesh from Bangalore, Dr. B Nagarajan from Bengaluru, Dr. K Vinod Kumar from Mannuthy, Dr. D Sumathi from Nammakal, Dr. Anisha Tiwari from Jammu  and Dr.Madhavi Awale from Pune were the invited speakers for this year’s summit. The experts shared valuable information and presented emerging clinical data in various topics like the importance of Antimicrobial stewardship, approach to nasal dermatosis in dogs and cats, Canine Atopic Dermatitis, Pododermatitis, ear diseases and shared extremely interesting derm case studies that thrilled the audience. The sessions were extremely insightful and meaningful to day-to-day vet derm practice and ran for a marathon 6 ½ hours each in all the 3 locations with the participants glued to the talks.

The summit was a testament to the commitment of SAVAVET to continuing veterinary education in the field of Small Animal Dermatology and provided a platform for about 360 veterinarians to learn from the experts, share individual experiences, connect with peers, and celebrate dermatology practice.

SAVAVET Companion Animal Business also showcased its dermatology portfolio that comprises of Ichmune C (Cyclosporine capsules and oral solution) for Canine Atopic Dermatitis and Feline Atopic Syndrome, Dermoscent range of veterinary dermocosmetics, the recently launched products for skin care like Floritas (2% Fusidic acid cream) and Fondatone (0.1% Mometasone Furoate Topical Solution). Sales teams based in Pune, Hyderabad and Kolkata with the support of Marketing and Design teams were instrumental in driving record-high participation for the summit in the 3 locations.
