SAVAVET organized an enlightening Continuing Veterinary Education (CVE) program focused on Small Animal Orthopedics & Radiology at the Radisson Hotel in Chandigarh on June 16, 2024. The event featured two renowned speakers, offering attendees valuable clinical insights and advanced knowledge in the field.

The first session was led by Dr. S. Ayyappan, Former Professor and Head of VCC at Madras Veterinary College. His presentation, titled “Osteoarthritis in Canines – A Clinical Perspective,” provided a comprehensive overview of the diagnosis, management, and treatment of osteoarthritis in dogs. Dr. Ayyappan highlighted the latest advancements in therapeutic approaches, emphasizing the importance of early intervention and multi-modal pain management strategies to improve the quality of life for affected animals.

The second session featured Dr. Vikram Dave, Founder-Director and Head Surgeon at Blue7Vets Hospitals in Mumbai. Dr. Dave’s lecture on “Hip Dysplasia in Details and Its Treatment with Surgical Alternatives” delved into the complexities of diagnosing and managing hip dysplasia. He discussed various surgical options, detailing their indications, techniques, and outcomes, offering practical insights for effective clinical practice. The program was well-received by the veterinary community, who appreciated the depth of information and practical knowledge shared by the speakers.
