SAVAVET at the 21st WSAVA CE India & 14th FSAPAI National Symposium

SAVAVET Companion Animal Business proudly participated in the 21st World Small Animal Veterinary Association (WSAVA) CE India and 14th FSAPAI National Symposium, held in the picturesque town of Mahabalipuram, Chennai, Tamil Nadu from 15-17 November, 2024. As part of the Continuing Professional Development Programme on Companion Animal Practice, this prestigious event was jointly organized by The Federation of Small Animal Practitioners Association of India (FSAPAI) and hosted by the Small Animal Practitioners Association of Tamil Nadu (SAPAC TN).

The symposium brought together over 800 veterinary professionals and featured renowned international speakers, including:

  • Dr. John Chitty, RCVS Advanced Practitioner in Zoological Medicine.
  • Dr. Antonio Giuliano, a European, RCVS, and HK Specialist in Companion Animal Oncology.
  • Dr. Angel Almendros, ABVP-certified in Canine and Feline Practice.
  • Dr. Thillai Koothan, a clinical veterinarian at Citi Animal Hospital, Greater Houston Area.

The event focused on key topics such as:

  1. Diagnosis and treatment of kitten infectious diseases.
  2. Managing feline pediatric conditions.
  3. Critical care for common conditions in puppies.
  4. Fading puppy syndrome.
  5. FNA and biopsy techniques in cancer diagnosis.
  6. Avian examination and procedures.
  7. Skin and cardiorespiratory diseases in parrots.
