10 Years of Revolutionizing Cardiac Care for Pets

SAVAVET celebrated a decade of SAFEHEART (Pimobendan chewable tablets) that has been transforming the treatment landscape for dogs with congestive heart failure (CHF) in India. Developed by SAVAVET, SAFEHEART has extended and enriched the lives of countless pets, allowing them to share more precious moments with their families.

To mark this significant milestone, SAVAVET has launched a four-month heartcare campaign dedicated to raising awareness about CHF and promoting early diagnosis and effective management. This initiative spans key cities—Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi, and Mumbai—and aims to reach over 500 veterinarians and pet parents.

Campaign Highlights
– Cardiology Summit 2024: A landmark event featuring renowned veterinary cardiologists from India and abroad, including Dr. Gerhard Wess, Head of Cardiology Service at LMU, Munich. The summit explored advancements in the diagnosis and treatment of CHF and myxomatous mitral valve disease (MMVD), which accounts for over 70% of canine heart conditions.
– Educational Outreach: Distribution of informative materials to veterinary clinics.
– Digital Empowerment: Launch of a user-friendly symptom checker on the SAVAVET website equipped with QR codes for pet parents to easily access CHF symptoms and the importance of early intervention to aid in recognizing heart disease symptoms early.

As we celebrate this remarkable decade of innovation and compassion, SAVAVET continues to partner with the veterinary community to shape the future of small animal cardiology in India. Together, we look forward to many more years of healthier hearts and happier pets.
