Visiocare

Visiocare contains cyclosporine and is indicated for autoimmune eye conditions like Keratoconjunctivitis sicca (KCS). In patients with immune system mediated dry eye conditions, the body’s immune system consisting of B and T cells attack the lachrymal gland and affect tear production. By using an immunosuppressant like Cyclosporine, the production of messengers called interleukins is inhibited thereby stopping the activation of T cells. By suppressing the immune system is suppressed, the normal functioning of lachrymal gland is maintained. Cyclosporine causes increased tear production and decreased local inflammation in the eye and tear gland and also has a calming effect on inflammation of the cornea.
