SAVAVET in association with Pet Practitioners Association of Karnataka (PPAK) organized a CVE program in small animal nephrology in Bangalore on 18th December 2022. Dr Yathiraj, Former Dean of Veterinary College – Bangalore and Chief Executive – Lakeside Veterinary Hospital & Research Center spoke on Acute Kidney Injury (AKI) and Chronic Kidney Diseases (CKD) – diagnosis and management, while Dr M Chandrasekar, Professor – Department of Veterinary Clinical Medicine, Madras Veterinary College – Chennai gave an in-depth lecture on dialysis techniques in small animals. A practical demonstration of dialysis was also done with the support of Baxter India. More than 200 veterinarians participated in the program. As a follow-up program, a hands-on workshop on dialysis techniques in small animals was also done in Veterinary College – Hebbal in association with PPAK and the Department of Veterinary Clinical Medicine, Veterinary College – Hebbal. About 50 veterinarians successfully completed the workshop.
